Lasting solutions need the involvement of people who live with the consequences.

Start by learning how a conflict affects different groups, especially those whose voices are often excluded. You could practise resolving disagreements at school, support a local dialogue project or help newcomers feel welcome. Peacebuilding is a shared effort that depends on trust, safety and respect.
Establishing lasting peace is the work of education; all politics can do is keep us out of war.
