Bring Back Our Girls

May 27th of every year is celebrated as Children's Day in Nigeria. Across the nation, Children's Day is widely celebrated in the various state capitals and in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. On this day, Nigerian children and their guardians celebrates excellence and hope for the future. It's a day set aside to show solidarity, love, fraternity and understanding between children and stakeholders. The Day is observed with matching and to display talents and skills of the Nigerian child, to promoting the idea that the children of today is a society's future. It is also a day to reflect on the state of the Nigerian child, her welfare and the various challenges confronting the children. Here in Umuahia, the 2014 Children's Day is used to raise awareness and pray for the kidnapped school girls at Chibok and draw the attention of stakeholders on the #bringbackourgirls campaign. We appreciate the role the Nigerian government and international partners are making to ensure to release of these innocent girls. We urge you to do the same! Act and pray and weep (if you can) till, our girls are released!
