When I saw the gray part

I’ve always been very artistic and creative. Last year I joined AYV team in my school. Even though I was the only one in my class I was enjoying it. AYV Awards came and I wanted to participate but at the same time I was passing through personal hard moments. I didn’t know what to do. I was doing a documentary about a school’s field trip and suddenly all was deleted. It was 12 am and I decided to do a video for myself with footages from different events. I ended up uploading that video, that was about how sometimes in life you’re lost in a maze but it’s your choice to get out of it. I thought it was awesome and my educator did too. I didn’t win and I was disappointed but now I’m grateful about it because it made me realize one thing. The video was amazing, the message what beyond perfect but my mistake was that even though the video was awesome, it was made inside my comfort zone. I realize that I didn’t give it the time I should and I didn’t do the effort I should’ve made. I suddenly realize that I was involving my own video’s message in my life. I was lost in the maze. I used to see everything black or white and now I started to see the gray part.
After this adventure, I learned that media has not only impacted me but the use of it gave me an important lesson. If you really want to reach your goals, you need to get out of your comfort zone. You need to be passionate about it and encourage yourself to do your best.
Now my goals are to spread my ideas by using media and encourage people to have a better life because I know what it’s like to be sad or feel alone. I want the audience of my media to feel identified with my messages. I want to let them know they are not alone, and encourage them to work hard, the same way certain media encouraged me. My hopes are to reach this goals and grow bigger among society involving positive vibes. The best thing is that besides helping each other, it’s in a way we all enjoy, by the use of media.
