Turning Point Of My Life.

I was just 12 years old when came to know about AYV and TIG. I was playing with camera just to entertain myself. Like any other youngster I was fascinated by colors, novelty and newness. As I mentioned earlier purely entertainment as a reason with no proper direction. But I owe a lot to AYV for giving wings to my imagination, vision and goal.
Usually person inspires you, me getting my inspiration is not a person as such but a programme sounds funny but that’s the way it is. My first orientation on media making organized by CDC changed my entire perspective and life. It was quite interesting for me, when I started to think and learn about AYV program which created a sense of purpose within me, my thinking ability was on increase. Creativity has no limits and imagination coupled with ideas and techniques can help you sail well. Through various recorded webinar CDC gives opportunity to learn more and more. I personally feel it is practical knowledge that counts a lot and this particular programme was purely practical and so well designed that there was no turning back.
I learnt story board making, scripting writing, critical review, rough cut and much more. Before this I had absolutely no knowledge of this whatsoever, it is this programme that made me understand so. The resources available on sites which is more useful and informative made a constant searcher and a constant learner searching the pearl of great price wanting to learn more and more. I started working with cameras of different kind and angle. When first time I saw the Adobe Photoshop and Premier, I was much excited to learn both. I started spending more time with Photoshop and Premier. I started making Posters with my captured photos. At this time my world was this programme and its exploration as to how to make things better and better. But the more I learnt the less it was. I acquired a certain mastery over this and made different posters which are very much appreciated and liked by all. I got critical and positive feedback from CDC during rough cut webinar which really strengthened me. Then I applied for World Bank contest and won two prizes, this was because of AYV.
All you need is a platform and a channel to let your ideas innovate and blossom and it did with AYV. My interest was increasing day by day. Today I have my own identity at my local and regional community. AYV gives opportunity to learn to capture social issues and presentation through “Create with purpose tagline.” Today I feel confidant, I am famous at my school, with my friends and also at the International community. When I was selected for scholarship, this was a great achievement for me. On the whole my vision is quite clear now; I envision my career on media making and photography. I am always thinking about media making and how I can contribute this world for a social change. Today I am 18 years old and the time which I spent with AYV and TIG is very useful for me, which makes me identify myself with the global community. My testimony will certainly edify others but I personally encourage my young friends to avail these courses.
