On March 7th, 2015, Project SERES held an AYV Exhibition in Panajachel, Sololá, in Guatemala. This exhibition was entirely organized by the youth for the youth! They really wanted to focus on young people since they know that they are the future of their community.

These AYV participants produced 2 films. One was about a local young man that has disabilities and has overcome many obstacles to become a local leader. The other film was about Atitlan Lake.

The event was very exciting because Manuel, the local leader who was featured in the first film, was present. After the viewing he expressed that “the film is amazing and really reflects who I am”.

Many of the youth who attended the viewing became motivated in the program and showed an interest in wanting to get involved with the program. Two of the youth in the audience were so inspired by the films that they wanted to encourage other youth to work for a better world and take care of their natural resources.
