AYV Exhibition: Project SERES- Antigua, Guatemala

Project SERES hosted an exhibition of their AYV work on March 14th, 2015 at the Centro de Cooperacion Española in Antigua, Guatemala. This event was open to the public and drew an audience not only from the local community but internationally as well! The audience of about 75 people consisted of NGO leaders, the participants’ families, collaborators, and general community members with an interest in this project.

The theme of the event was “Jovenes Visionarios” which translates to “Young Visionaries”. 11 films covering a range of different subjects and contexts were projected. There were two projectors which meant that two films were being shown at a time. The audience had the opportunity to choose which films they were most interested in watching.

After the screening of each film, the AYV participants had the opportunity to answer questions regarding their films. This created an engaging environment and allowed for genuine exchanges to occur between the participants and the audience. There was also a chance for youth from different communities to exchange experiences about their own production processes.

As a result of this exhibition, some of the youth were even offered job opportunities! Overall, it was a sensational experience for everyone involved!
