Feeling skinny feels great...?
Originally published
This poem expresses the struggle in the mind of somebody battling with anorexia: the conflict between self-perception and reality.
It does feel great!
I can’t stand the hunger.
I’ve been lying all the time.
I see the mirror and I hate it.
I can’t believe this is me.
Who am I supposed to be?
Why do I look like this?
But hunger helps.
It makes me pretty.
And it feels great!
I need a friend, I feel lonely.
I hate weight, but I still love it.
Help please! I cannot stand it anymore.
