Hey Bec, Sorry for taking so long to get back to you.
I think it's a real shame that environmental responsibility isn't part of the curriculum, and that teachers have to have some interest in environmental issues for children to even hear about it. It is so important, especially for the generation that is going to grow up with so many environmental issues on their shoulders. It sounds like your school is great though!

My Mum works in a very conservative school, in a very conservative area, so I think getting parents on her side is pretty hard work! My village is currently running a campaign against a wind farm that is being built, for example. But the kids love it anyway!

Thank you for the congratulations! It looks like there is going to be some trouble getting my sister over, and might take a few months, but hopefully it will sort itself out :-)

Great work Bec! I have adopted Elisa, she is 'my baby' in Borneo! I'm hoping to get involved in more of the education side of things, will contact you for any suggestions in how to go about this, seeing as I have no contacts within the education department.
