Proper recycling decreases the level of CO2 as the energy requirements for it are lower then the energy used in the industrial processing of virgin materials. So less energy requirements -> less burned fuels -> less carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Well …recycle then!

I know that I’m not the most ‘greener’ person (..but I’m trying) as I usually use energy consuming PC for my work instead of non-digital art methods.
This contribution ‘consumed’ 1.5 hours of working PC time that is 0.3 kWh of energy (day time – no additional lightning). One kWh of electricity releases about 1 pound of carbon dioxide. So its 0.3 pounds per hour of my PC time. And in total its 0.3*1.5 hours = 0.45 pounds of carbon dioxide. Quite a sum I say.
At least the digital form needs no recycling…
PS just the advice for the future (I also will use it :)) – it’s quite useful and informative to count the energy requirements before you are engaged in the art project. Sometimes it helps to choose the new art method – less energy consuming. I in my turn will definitely do this in the future.
