Javier Ogarrio

Born Guatemalan, my parents motivated me to be a change maker. Always liked meeting new people/cultures, learning new things, and helping people plus my surrounding become better. In highschool I was a partyboy, taught myself programing, became self-employed and decided I was going to make my own path in life – regardless of society’s expectations. After graduation, decided to find employment in EU; at 18 I was software consultant at Stockholm, Sweden. There I met a Swedish DPE, and Microsoft became my next goal but needed university degree. Returned to Guatemala for university, became self-employed, and MSP Lead. Wanted to create current project but failed due to lack of experience. Later neither local ComputerScienceEngineering or BusinessAdminstration teachings, from 2 universities, fulfilled my expectations so I dropped out. Just before that I got hired by Microsoft as regional DPE intern for Latam New Markets, overlooking academic and spark programs. Still dropout, have talked at 2 TEDx on tech entrepreneurship, hold GT StartupWeekend licence, mentor for technology incubator, member of AMCHAM, given conferences/workshops at GT, SV, CR, and EC, and have international network ready to work with. Now I have experience to launch a social entrepreneurship and start changing my world!
