Kaggwa Andrew

Born to a family of 8 children, Andrew was raised up in a small village of Buddo in the district of Wakiso. He is currently a graduate of Sociology from Makerere Univeristy -Kampala. Honesty, respect, discpline and the fear of the Lord best describes his personality. He believes that as a young leader he has a great role to play in shaping and influencing society to be highly self-sustaining. This however begins with individuals taking control of their resources and fully utilising them. He believes that organisations and governments should run projects that empower people to create a difference in their lives.
Faced with the pain of orphans and destitute young children in Uganda, i set out to use my skills and resources to create a difference in the lives of these innocent souls. I currently partner with Mercy childcare ministries in Wakiso to bring hope to the homeless children of Uganda. I currently run an HIV/AIDS sensitization project based in Wakiso with a mission of spreading the HIV/AIDS campaign to the church and the community. Through the Break the silence TALK ABOUT IT program we have managed to reach hundreds of youth, started up SAFA clubs (Save a friend from Aids)in schools. Despite the challenges we face, we are proud that without donor support or aid, we have managed to impact the community. I believe the in order to realize our dream, we need to work as a team. Together we can make the world a better place.

Post graduate diploma in Project planning and management. ( Uganda Management Insititute).

Bachelors degree in Social work. ( Makerere University)
Advanced level certificate of Education. (Katikamu Secondary School-Uganda)
Ordinary level Certificate of Education. ( Makerere College School)

Working Experience.

Credit manager-Foundation for International Community Assistance.-(FINCA-UGANDA)
Project Coordinator- Makerere university-(Sustainable research excellence and vitality in computing departments of East and central Africa.)
Marketing agent:- Statewide insurance Company Ltd-Uganda.
