Salim October

I am a Guyanese citizen by birth. I am married and have one energetic 20mth old son. Currently I work with the United Nations Development Programme's Sub-Regional Center in Trinidad as a Program Officer on HIV & AIDS with an emphasis on Gender, Sexual Diversity and Human Rights. I support the work of UNDP Country offices in the English and Dutch Caribbean.

I previously worked on HIV/AIDS projects with International HIV/AIDS Alliance, Population Services International, Youth Challenge International and have been a volunteer with the Guyana Red Cross Society.

I have a keen interest in capacity building of CSOs and NGOs and anything to do with facilitating HIV and AIDS Education, Counseling and Testing for HIV as well as project management.
