Born and bred in Sabah. Diploma holder of Tourism Management and a PADI Divemaster with a very keen interest in marine conservation. Started J-BAT in February 2007 to help improve level of income of small traditional fishermen of the West Coast of Sabah to keep them from using destructive method of sea harvesting. J-BAT is not a typical travel company as it vows never to acquire its own boat or resort and will only use the service of local families/villagers where we operate. The basis of J-BAT's business is to share profits with local villagers and not just merely taking them in as workers where they would earn fixed income. This profit sharing method would hopefully motivate villagers to step up conservation efforts of their own surroundings.
