Chief Muraina Oyelami

A Yoruba Artist from Iragbiji. He is the founder and the artistic Director of Obatala Centre for Creative Arts, Iragbiji Where he also found 'ILE-ONA-Museum of Art and archaival Records'. For over eleven years (1976 -1987) he taught Yoruba Traditional Music and Dance at University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) Ile-Ife. He has exhibited his paintings in several art institutions throughout the world and has produced music-drama in several countries. Chief Oyelami is the Eesa of Iragbiji, his home-town, a position that is second only to the Oba (King) of Iragbiji. For detailed info please visit: www.oyelami.com
