In 1995, with 25 years of age, I saw the need to train and equip teenagers as the future leaders of Bonaire.

At that time there was no organization on the island that challenges teenagers for civic engagement. Hence I successfully founded a foundation, named Bonaire Youth Outreach Foundation (BYOF), that forges Bonairean teenagers into tomorrow’s leader in this youth-led organization to plan, lead and execute projects to reach their peers (and some specific target groups).

With limited resources I have successfully trained and equipped young people into exceptional project management skills.
