Art. Perspective. Possibility.

Perspectives: Inspiring Hope for a Brighter Future

In 2014, TakingITGlobal engaged nearly 3000 youth in 35 countries in creating digital media pieces about their issues, their communities, their dreams and their demands. We trained 150 educators to support and guide youth through this artistic journey. Youth from around the globe reflected on the realities of the world around them and created pieces to express what they saw and their hopes for the future.

These media pieces are windows into the minds of youth who are the future of our world. There are pieces that call on us to appreciate the beauty of the world around us, there are pieces that seek transformations in how we treat others, and others bring critical issues into light that need to be addressed. While the art pieces vary widely in subject matter and composition, a central unifying theme within the work is that youth are dedicated to creating a more equal and compassionate world where we care for each other and the environment. By voicing their aspirations through their art, these youth are inspiring all of us to be part of a brighter future.
