TANGLAW 2001

This logo was created by Pocholo Gonzales. TANGLAW an honored Filipino word meaning light. For the Philippine Delegation to the 27th Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program ( SSEAYP ) , tanglaw symbolizes the radiant light of the Philippines in the new millennium, which the Participating Youths (PYs ) will eagerly bring as they embark on a journey of international cooperation and mutual understanding.

The 32 circles represent the unity in diversity of the 32 Participating Youths ( PYs ), while the flag on the ship's profile symbolizes pride in representing the Philippines . Two stylized hands hold up the ship as if in offering, representing the Philippine delegation's offering of self to a renewed love of country.
