Ponga III

Part three in a series of Ponga carvings, each individually designed.

A triptych composed of a carved ponga frond curling within a sombre, multi-coloured background. Created using oil, enamel and acrylic paints, it symbolises the harmony between ocean and earth. Different textures have been added to the 3-panelled composition by burning and scraping away layers of colour.

Can be hung together or spaced, portrait or landscape.

Mixed media on hardboard.
