Canada Israel Experience

As a Jewish person living in Canada I have grown up with a real sense of pride in not only my Jewish identity but in my Canadian nationality. My artwork reflects my Canadian identity in that I am a product of Canadian parents and so Canada remains in my eyes. My mind is often on my other home,the land of Israel where my brothers and sisters live. I chose the colours red blue and white because they symbolize Canada and Israels flags colors combined into one mask. I then added a Jewish star and a maple leaf to emphasize this double connection of identity that I am living with.
