everything occurs in cycles. canada was built at the expense of an entire people. the very "success" of this nation-state depends on the continued oppression of indigenous people. the disproportionate percentage of indigenous people that have been inhaled by canada's prison industrial complex is one of the most revealing indications of this. nothing stays in the past, everything occurs in cycles.
