Children are subjected to such by poverty, poor family ties,social deprivation, and lack of concern and bylaws protecting child welfare.
They sleep outdoors on old tyres and plastic materials.
Homosexuality,drug abuse,crime,and the spread of HIV/AIDS is very high, among street children, and no access to medical care.
Nairobi city alone has 76,000 street children.
SOC has a residence for such kids awaiting facilitation for over 250 children .

Apparently,this image portrays the Kenya refugee life style at Kakuna Refugee camp.The refugee population derived from Sudan exeeds 82,216, with a yearly increase of 1,500 due to the political status threatening
humanity in Sudan.43%women 75% men.
with only 9,000 shanty slum househlods,permitting single rooms occupied not less than six people incuding children.
They depend on scanty food aid which excludes the necessary food suppliments, suplied on ratio. Fruits and vegetables are never included . The state of malnutrition is very common among expectant mothers and children under 5 years, due to lackof Micro Nutread contents.Scurvy, maleria and Anemia are very common while the health care services are inadequet.
Education is available to only 31.55% of children and youth.Refugees are threatened by insecurity,starvation,and lack of concern for human rights.
Yet the refugees are evidently resourceful in skills potentials, but dominated by lack of capacity building and inhibition.
Global concern for human development could possibly include Human Displacemen requirements.
The camp is just next to a great lake which could facilitate irrigation programs for food production by, for the victims
