She says that her children have been hungry for 3 days. The photo was taken when the mother was asking for money.

Aweeee...It's a real slap in teh face when we fuss about our own problems which are very much trivial compared to what many face on a day to day basis.

This poor little boy. I echo what Sarah said: we often get too caught up in the trivial issues we face in the day to day to realise that the majority of the people in the world are much worse off and would give anything to trade their troubles for ours. I hope that this little person is doing better than when this image was captured, and that his mother and other family members are better off too.
