Torch

This is a digital sample of a more elaborate chalk drawing

from the village of Parvatapur, India. This is a traditional

design submitted on behalf of the people of the village. The

theme of a torch is appropriate in many ways as a symbol for

the Culture of Peace theme and for other aspects of the

culture of the less developed countrie lighting the way of

those in rich countries who have material wealth but are

otherwise relatively culturally poor.
