I made this b/c people do not hear about religious persecution (the result of religious intolerance). This piece is meant to shock and disturb, it addresses a critical part of human nature - the need to believe in something more, to hope and pray, to be spiritual. To be killed for believing in such things is one of the greatest tragedies I know. Why the media does not show or talk about what is happening is strange. I am a Christian so I focused this piece on this religion, but others suffer similarly. All I ask is that people be aware of religious intolerance. I hope things will change soon for the sake of those whose lives are threatened everyday that they believe.

I like this piece of art because it shows great emotion and how many people are suffering because of their religion. This is not fair to the people who are Christian and how many are dying for such a unimportant reason. Children have to be scared every day because they don't know whats coming towards them tommorow. This artwork shows a lot of pain and torture. Children are our future and it hurts to see that many are struggling to live. It seems like the child is holding a secret which it cannot tell. When I look into the child's eyes I can see his feelings and his soul. This art has moved me a lot.
you hear alot about the jews killed in the haulocost(misspelled?), but you never hear about the millions of christians killed... greeks, albanians, just because of their beliefs. this is a very stirring piece of art
