this is a shot of los angeles and hollywood as seen at night from mulholland drive. perhaps the title suggests a burgeoning, festering mass of viril angelenos nearly ready to burst. or perhaps a vast well from which angelenos can be drawn as water in a bucket (or that hollywood "talent" is about as substantial and transparent as well water).
