View artist portfolioThis painting was inspired by my visit to the McMichael Canadian Art Gallery. I brought my pack of pastels and a few sheets of blank paper, and went for a walk in the forest that surrounds the gallery. I sat down beside a body of water, spent some time reflecting and began playing with colours. I thought of the people who sat on the same grass many years before. This image represents the eyes of our past.
