Gaining Perspective

This was my first pastel painting, created back in 1994!! It was done as an assignment on perspective but if you notice the life that I depict, it is about someone who is gaining perspective on life.

This painting reminds me of winning the Art Award - after working so hard to win an award related to the Sciences. Sometimes we tend to focus on reaching certain goals, and we forget to appreciate the gifts that life offers us...because it isn't what we thought we wanted.
