Difficult to depict beauty or pain from a visual perspective, Akande's image of a tough woman complimented the strong words she used to describe an african woman-beautifully. The painful responsibilities a woman must undergo characterizes her just another part of society. Akande's submission displays the african woman simplistically yet it represents her as unique and an individual.
