Plastic and other synthetic fiber that is often used for packaging in India has been twisted together to make sturdy ropes by this very old womean who has come to sell them at the weekly market. Its a creative way of recycling fiber that would only be burnt or clog drains or be dumped in landfills.

neccessity is the mother of invention. here the neccessity is survival and invention is the way the wasted plastic bags are re-used. the woman has found a way to make some money to keep her body and soul together and this goes on to display the never die attitude that most people in India have.
