This door, taken in another of Ghana's many castles, is where every single last slave would take their last step from their country of origin to a new cruel life in america. I think this is what I found to be the most horrible part of visiting slavery castles...

This is very valuable document, together with the text interpretation. We believe that we live in "modern world" and just scratching the surface. From the other hand this "last view" reminds me to famous "PONTE DE SOSPIRI" (The Bridge of Sighs, 1600) in Venice . Closed stone bridge with small windows for convicts to take the last look to freedom before they got to their dungeons.
