View artist portfolioThis photo, despite it's eerie and prehistoric feel of temperate rainforest being pierced by fingers of sunlight, is in fact a brilliant depiction of the battle for Australia's old growth forests. The mist is in fact soil dust, kicked up by a passing logging truck, removing trees from only a few hundred metres down the road. This very piece of forest is tagged for logging in the next few years.
Can we justify the dismemberment of such natural treasures?

wow!!! priceless snap!
This reminds me of the old growth forests in Tassie, yet sadly most of them are destined for the same fate. It's really sad and maddening to think we could lose this beauty for the sake of a few buck for the economy.
