The Sri Lankan Jungle as shown here is at its lush green best in the monsoon season. The historic Sigiriya Fort is surrounded by miles of such green jungles, which are the domain of the famed-Sri Lankan elephants.

I feel as if the three of us had this experience together of looking over this incredible jungle. Like we had taken a ride in a plane and all looked down at once.

This is the view from the top of the Sigiriya Fort. There was a palace on top of this large rock and King Kashyap used to keep an eye on the jungle from there.
Was he a good king?
He was a good king but the palace was built when he was in hiding and unfortunately, he was killed 7 years after the palace was cosntructed. :(
Many Sinhalese and Tamil Kings met a tragic fate in Sri Lanka.
