Academic activities are often not aimed at all-round development, and this is why every child needs to be involved in the Art and play project. Kids also learn other important life skills such as problem-solving skills, critical thinking and other things they will need to grow up into well-balanced adults.
KVC has noticed that in Kakuma refugee camp and neighbouring schools, children are not given this opportunity and therefore it is a problem that needs our attention. At Kakuma Vocational Center we have realise that children have a greater need of being involved in Art and Play project to enhance their teamwork and problem-solving skills and boosting their ability to think critically and develop a sense of making responsible decisions.
