The #RisingYouth grant completely changed the trajectory of Living Hyphen and expanded our mandate to move beyond just a publication and into cultural programming. The events we organized with the grant support opened our eyes to just how important it is to cultivate a culture of storytelling where marginalized communities feel confident and compelled to tell their stories - regardless of their experience level.
The Sprout Ideas Fellowship is a 10-month guided skill-building experience from April 2023 to January 2024 offering 250 #RisingYouth Alumni training, mentorship, seed grants and an opportunity to fundraise in support of a volunteer-led project.

Co-authored by #Decarbonize children from each of the participating schools, it amplifies the lived experiences and voices of young people impacted by climate change and gives them a platform to ensure that solutions and approaches are shaped by their knowledge and experiences.
